Introduction:   I first saw this motorcycle at a motorcycle dealership and it caught my eye more than any other motorcycle and I asked the salesman "What the heck is this!?"  He said Z1000 and I had never heard of a Z1000 but was fascinated with it and as soon as I sold my R1 I got the Z1000.  I rate the Motorcycle 5 out of 5 stars.
The motorcycle can be seen in Menifee California which is in Riverside County in Southern California.
The Z1000 comes off even more attractive in person, looking muscular and distinctive. The central area of the bike is densely packaged, leaving the blunt front end and tidy tail section appearing relatively diminutive. The black-anodized cast-aluminum frame spars wrap tightly over the engine and narrow around the bike's waist.

A cold-air induction system is fed by intakes on each side of the fuel tank and through the frame to a non-pressurized airbox. A tuned “howl” is designed in by using a specifically shaped resonator chamber – a strategically placed hole functions similar to blowing over a bottle's mouth. Oval-shaped 38mm throttle bodies are fed by differential-length intake snorkels to assist a torquey, broad powerband.
Header pipes are linked with crossover tubes then into a large chamber beneath the engine. As such, each controversially styled muffler doesn't require as much volume, reducing weight by 1.5 lbs each.
Kawasaki reports this amazing engine spits out 138 crankshaft horsepower at 9600 revs, which will likely convert to nearly 125 ponies at the rear tire. Torque is rated at a considerable 81.1 ft-lbs at 7800 rpm.
The 41mm inverted fork now includes compression-damping adjustability to the previous preload and rebound, while the horizontally placed monoshock lacks only compression-damping control.
    About the seller:
Hi I am the owner of this amazing machine. I get more compliments to this epic machine than any other motorcycle I have had.  It is
Adult owned and ridden.  Never laid down or stunted.   I have had zero issues with this motorcycle.  I use Full Synthetic Motul oil always and I'll give you some when you buy.   It has the best sounding (dual) akrapovic exhaust I have ever heard which is one of the reasons I bought it.   This motorcycle is very fast off the line and is perfect for freeway driving in my opinion.  I have also taken it up to the twisties and it performs well there also but it really comes into it's own if you have a long ride.  On other bikes I would really feel the effect of a long ride but on the Z1000 I never get weary after the ride.    I bought this bike coming out of a Yamaha R1 and immediately I liked it better than my R1 as it was more comfortable.  I have tried Gel batteries and I find for hot California those are the best for hot temps like in California so it has a Gel Battery about 1 year old.  I have 2 keys for it.
Reason for selling:  Buying a house.   What I really like about this bike is the reliability.  I have had Kawasaki's before and Yamaha and Suzuki and in my opinion the Kawasaki's are more reliable.  I have the stock windscreen on it which as you can see adds to the unique look but I also have a touring windscreen which is easily switched out if you are going on long rides.  That one is a Zero Gravity brand windscreen also smoked dark.  I have a newer front Tire (1 month) on it and the rear tire is good also.  It is fuel injected so it starts up right away.   I have never been left stranded on this bike and it has never broke down in all kinds of weather.  Most of the riding I've done (about 85%) has been freeways with the some twisties.   If you need a helmet and gloves I wear a medium and I can throw a used helmet and medium gloves into it also so you can ride safely.
This is a motorcycle you can keep forever and you won't out grow it.  It has much power on top throughout all the gears.
