The Russian Orthodox Icon Image of Christ the Almighty.(XIXc).
The Almighty or Pantocrator is the central image in the iconography of Christ, representing Him as the Heavenly King and Judge. The savior can be depicted as tall, sitting on the throne, in a waist, or hard. In the left hand is a scroll or gospel, the right usually in a blessing gesture. The image of Christ the Almighty is used in single icons, as part of deisus compositions, in iconostases, wall paintings, etc. So, this image traditionally occupies the space of the central dome of the Orthodox church.
